Foundation – Basic Fashion Figure
The key to fashion drawing is to start by perfecting a number of standard poses as outlined in the Figure Matrix. Knowing how to correctly draw a body allows for a variety of freedom … when drawing figures and correctly drawing clothing. Moreover, the students will be taught fashion poses starting right from basic line exercise, sketching, hatching, gradation, etc. Hairstyles, facial, hand & feet features can do a lot of an overall design. At the end of module, student will be able to develop fashion figures, facial, hand & feet gestures, basic clothing, and colouring.
Fashion Illustration – Rendering with different color mediums
Fashion illustrations are used by Fashion designers and fashion illustrators to contain their fashion brief and communicate their creative ideas to the people who matter … ( a client, producer or a designer boss) how a clothing they have in mind would eventually look. Students will be taught to draw human figure with clothing design and present everything about the style of clothing, embellishments you want to add on it, then pepper it with the attitude you want to convey with that particular style – there you have your fashion sketch laid out for the world to take notice.
Design Concepts – Elements & Principles of Design
The elements of design & principles of design are the building blocks used by the designers to create the designs. They are the parts, the components that can be isolated … and defined in any visual design, they are the structure of the work, the objects to be arranged and used as part of any composition. The principles are the directions for a cake recipe and the elements are the ingredients. Students will be taught how to create perfect design concepts with which they can become great fashion designers.
