

BRDS London in association with London School of Trends offers a range of short courses held over the period of one month. Applicants have the option to study as residential or non-residential students. Our range of courses include fashion styling, designing and styling interior spaces, luxury brand management, and fashion marketing & entrepreneurship, covering the creative and business facets of the fashion and design industry.
We will be covering the design process – how to start a project, concept, where to get ideas from, using colour, pattern and texture in an interior design project, planning out a layout, wall coverings and floor coverings, lighting design, designing different spaces in a residential and commercial properties, how to present your scheme and coordinate your project with contractors, style and trends what is in fashion now and looking at past trends, Furniture, fittings and equipment (FF&E), budgeting for a project and bringing it all together.
Students will work towards the presentation of a given project. This will include working together as a team to present their scheme and the steps that it has taken for them to fulfil their ideas. Including presentation of sample boards, written work and drawings to back up their inspirations, trends and influences. Students will be working alongside an experience interior designer, who will guide them along the journey of the Course.

- Research: Learning extends beyond the teaching sessions. It is vital that students undertake independent fieldwork and self-directed study to complete their project
On successful completion of Course students will be able to:
Understand the role of the interior designer/ Stylist and how interior design is utilised within different areas of the design industry.
Understand the elements and processes which go into producing a scheme for a residential/commercial project.
Understand how to work with a team skilled designers and contractors to produce professional scheme and the steps to make that scheme become a reality.
Create a specific brief and fulfil its needs. Work with space planning, scale, colour and style, with relevance to past, current and future trends, to create a scheme to present your ideas.Understand the importance of researching the needs of the client and creating the scheme to make sure that it is fit for purpose
